Vice.

Hum, you react curiously.
I should stop doing this, you state dubiously.

Enough is enough, you tell the mirror,
Never again! With decided demeanor.

Happened again, you facepalm your face,
But this is the last! You swear post haste.

Argh, you frustrate at the ceiling,
I don't want this! Is your honest feeling.
I need to stop… you need healing.

*stares blankly*, you're running out of statements.
Why…? You're filling up with questions.

God…, you despair.
Why can't I—you grab your hair.
This is – You don't feel they care.
I am – And you know it'  not fair.

Bah I can't...you accept your bane.
It's just who I am… you sacrifice to be sane.
I just have this…trait. You have a curse.

It's got you as its prisoner,
Got your heart locked where it wants,
Turns you into a feeder,
So it can do what it wants…
And you can but watch it unfold…

Face it, you have no control.

SO GO!
Feed your need, feed your lie,
Feed your failure, it's alright!
Feed it hard, feed it often,
Feed it plenty, just be rotten!
Screw it, feed it
Look away, don't over-think it.

It's who you are!
DON'T FIGHT IT!

It doesn't matter if you dive!
Or for how long you think you're fine!
You're still sinking!
All throughout the night,
From nine to five,
Midday to midnight,
To the day you die,
You're a prisoner in your own life.

Just once?
It's not once….
It's twice…
and thrice,
Times infinity,
Because as hard as it is to admit it.
You've got a vice.
Not chemical nor biological,
But personality-wise,
Truth is it's emotional,
'Cause casted is the dice.

And now you want a solution?
Stop it.
But that's the problem, though, right?
That you can't actually fight?
You do wrong, knowing what's right?
Join the club, the party in it -- heck, the line!

The fact is it's a lot easier getting in,
Than getting out.
Just stomp your feet, and give a shout.
And try again.

"Again?"
"Yes, again and again and again."
"'Till the day I die?"
"If it comes to that, yes."
"And what if it never …accomplishes anything?"
"At least it wasn't for lack of trying."
As always, not much to say. Wrote this a while ago, and it still sounds...right, so I'm posting it.
